Paul Dorrell

President & Art Consultant

Paul Dorrell founded Leopold Gallery in 1991 to represent regional artists and help build regional culture—regardless of which part of the country he’s working in. As an art consultant, his clients include H&R Block, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Mayo Clinic, Texas A&M, and 1000s of private collectors. In the case of corporations, hospitals and stadiums, he designs unique art programs that win national praise for their vision, originality and community impact. He excels at bringing together the right team for every project. Paul also founded the Leopold Gallery Educational Foundation to provide opportunities for teenage artists from urban areas. He is the author of the acclaimed guidebook for artists, Living the Artist’s Life.

Paul and his wife, Annie, raised their sons in Kansas City, where he was a youth baseball coach for eight seasons. He has spent decades roaming America by motorcycle, riding through every contiguous state. Paul has lived in Alaska, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Italy, and England, and attempts to surf every time he visits California.

Allison Fisher

Gallery Director & Art Consultant

With an extensive background in Studio Art, Business, and Consulting, Allison brings a high level of competence and expertise to the art consulting process. She assists Paul on all projects, from research to design to teaming with the artists. Allison also loves spending time with her family at their Florida home, and painting in the studio.




Lori Kodanaz

Gallery Director and Art Consultant

Lori has several years of creative business development, consulting, event management and corporate sales in her toolkit.  She works on all gallery projects and marketing efforts.  When she is not in the gallery, she can be found pounding a tennis ball, strumming a guitar, singing a catchy tune or cheering at a Royals or Sporting game.

Susan Munson

Business Manager

Susan Munson is in charge of accounting, inventory, web maintenance, and research and development.   She has over 20 years of business experience, including working for MMGY Global for several years. Outside of the gallery she has one daughter, enjoys cooking, traveling with her family, and working in the urban garden on her Plaza rooftop. 

Josh Dorrell

Assistant Manager

Josh graduated from the University of Kansas in 2013 with a degree in English/Literature. Over the past decade he has worked on Leopold installations at University of Kansas Hospital, H&R Block, Sprint Center, and many other projects. He is now our primary preparator/installer. Passionate about writing and his band Pink Royal, he loves racquetball and travel—especially to the West Coast and anywhere new. Considers himself a connoisseur of fine beer. Paul disagrees.

Creative Lead

Dennis Dorrell is our creative lead. He has been working with Leopold Leopold since 2012, primarily as a videographer and marketing director. Occasionally, he likes to get his hands dirty on an install. When he’s not making us look good on social media, he’s rock climbing with his fiancé.

Hilary Cole

Gallery Director / Art Consultant

Hilary graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 2012 with a BFA in Sculpture. She is currently working on her MA in Art History at UMKC, and is particularly knowledgeable about the major movements in European and American art. Hilary assists with research, marketing, inventory, and event planning. In her spare time she loves to play tennis, golf, and to sculpt in mixed media.


Ambassador of Joy

Our Ambassador of Joy, Bebe, was rescued by owner Paul Dorrell from Missouri German Shepherd Rescue. In the beginning, Bebe was an underweight and nervous dog, but has grown healthy and is thriving. Bebe enjoys long walks along the Brookside shopping district, lounging around the fabulous art and following her companion, Paul to his meetings.
