Paul Dorrell
Art Consultant & President
Paul Dorrell founded Leopold Gallery in 1991 to represent regional artists, and help build regional culture—regardless of which part of the country he’s working in. Prior to that he worked as Director's Assistant at Hill-Stead Museum in CT.
As an art consultant, Paul's clients include H&R Block, the Royals, the Mayo Clinic, BKD LLP, and 1000s of private collectors. In the case of corporations, hospitals and stadiums, he designs unique art programs that win national praise for their vision, originality and community impact. He excels at bringing together the right team for every project. Paul also founded the Leopold Gallery Foundation to provide educational opportunities for teenage artists from urban areas. He is the author of the acclaimed guidebook for artists, Living the Artist’s Life.
Paul and his wife, Annie, raised their sons in Kansas City, where he was a youth baseball coach for eight years. He has spent decades roaming America by motorcycle, riding through every contiguous state. Paul has lived in Alaska, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Italy, and England, and attempts to surf every time he visits California.
Paula Busser
Art Consultant
With a strong background in business and project management, Paula brings a high level of experience and expertise to the consulting process. Growing up in London ensured that a love of art, design and culture was ingrained in all she does. Paula moved to New York in 2000 and managed two large office build-outs, with a keen eye for space, design and utility. At Leopold she assists Paul on all projects, from research to graphic design to coordination..
In addition to managing the gallery and working with private collectors, she enjoys spending time with her family, raising four young children and training for that ever elusive marathon!.
Cassy Krueger
Business Manager
Cassy Krueger is in charge of research and development, accounting, personnel, marketing, web maintenance and inventory control. She has over 20 years of business experience, from working as a controller, to client consultation in accounting matters, to serving as a Senior Accountant at various CPA firms. Outside the gallery she has raised 3 girls, loves to swim and along with her husband she enjoys traveling and being a grandparent.
Leslie Robbins
Foundation Volunteer
Leslie is a native of Kansas City, and worked for the state of New York for 25 years. She moved back to Kansas City to devote time to non-profits, and has proven invaluable in managing the Leopold Gallery Charitable Foundation.
Denny Dorrell
Assistant Projects Manager
Denny has been working at the gallery since 2004, and is in charge of deliveries, installations and imaging. Projects he has helped manage include University of Kansas Hospital, Sprint Center, Domaine Chandon in Napa Valley, and Saint Luke's Hospital. He acts in independent films, writes fiction and loves to surf.
Josh Dorrell
Gallery Assistant
Josh has been assisting with installations and gallery maintenance since 2006. He works part-time, and attends the University of Kansas. Projects he has assisted with include University of Kansas Hospital, BKD LLP, and Saint Luke's Hospital. He writes music, plays guitar in a band and claims to be a better surfer than Paul.
