Established in 1991 by Paul Dorrell, Leopold Gallery is not just an inspiring space to stroll through; we also work as Professional Art Advisors for a wide variety of clients.  Our projects include art programs for institutions like  H&R Block World Headquarters, the University of Kansas Hospital, and the Overland Park Convention Center.  Paul also helped select sculpture for the upcoming Warner Brothers film, Watchmen.  We give the same devotion to private collectors and small firms.

Over the years Paul has developed Leopold into a nationally recognized art consulting firm.  Whether we're recommending inexpensive works for a beginning collector, or consulting on a massive project like BKD's New Headquarters, our goal is always the same: to inspire our clients, and help them discover the passion that fine art can bring to their homes and workplaces.

Leopold is committed to helping develop regional culture, as we also structure mentoring programs for teenage artists, especially those from low-income families.  Art is our passion, but having fun with it is one of our priorities.  Some of our other clients: the Mayo Clinic, the Kauffman Foundation, G.E. Aircraft Engines, the US Capitol Building, Steven Spielberg, and the City of Hartford, CT.

Paul is also the author of Living the Artist's Life. This acclaimed guidebook for artists took him on a tour of 60 cities, where he spoke at The Art Students League of New York, as well as dozens of bookstores.  Paul has been interviewed on some 35 Public Radio stations, and on NBC.  Currently he is developing a Reality TV show in Los Angeles called Urban Impact, which is about finding brilliant teenage artists from low-income families, and providing them with a life-changing opportunity.  This opportunity came about after his screenplay, Trading in Souls, earned him a Nicholl Foundation Award at the Academy Awards.

Reared in Kansas City and educated at the University of Kansas, Paul has spent years roaming America by motorcycle.  He has lived in Alaska, New York, California, Italy, Spain, and England. He currently lives with his wife and two sons in Kansas City.  Prior to opening Leopold, he worked as Director's Assistant at Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, CT
